If you’re in LA (Culver City, to be exact) this Friday, May 29th from 7-10pm, head to the Corey Helford Gallery for Coop’s first gallery show in 3 years. Some great new works by the artist, who specializes in sort of fetishized, sometimes erotic massive canvases of pop art — this time, the exhibition features an original soundtrack composed by Mark Mothersbaugh. If you want to look at his stuff in peace and relaxation, the exhibit will be up until June 20th and the gallery is open Tuesday thru Saturday from noon to 6pm.
Check out Juxtapoz for a 2-part interview with Coop.
